近几年，为提升学生创新创业能力，学院领导高度重视，组织教师和学生开展国家大学生创新创业计划、创新课程、科技创新活动等，并鼓励师生积极参加全国各类相关专业科技创新竞赛，包括 “赛佰特杯”全国大学生 物联网创新应用设计大赛、 “蓝桥杯”全国软件和信息技术专业人才大赛、“TI杯”大学生物联网竞赛、“Ican杯”物联网创新创业大赛、“甲骨文”全国Java程序设计大赛、“博创杯”全国大学生嵌入式设计大赛、“互联网+"全国大学生创新创业大赛甘肃赛区、 “高教社杯”全国大学生数学建模竞赛、 “挑战杯” 大学生课外学术科技作品竞赛等多个全国性竞赛，并取得了优异的成绩。同时学院承办了第十三届“博创杯”全国大学生嵌入式设计大赛西北赛区决赛、中国高校计算机大赛-网络技术挑战赛信息安全铁人三项西北赛区数据赛等大规模赛。

学生就业实训

2006年以来，为进一步提高学生的培养质量，学院积极开展与国内外就业实训机构的联系与合作，推荐学生参加就业实训。2008年学院在计算机科学与技术、信息与计算科学、软件工程等专业开始实行“3+1”人才模式改革试点工作。目前，每年有100余名毕业生通过实训实现高质量和高层次就业，学院毕业生的年度就业率连续保持在90%以上。

Scientific and Technological Innovation Activities of Students

In recent years, in order to promote students' innovation ability, the leaders of the college have attached great importance to organize teachers and students to carry out the national college students' innovative undertaking plan, innovation course, scientific and technological innovation activities and encourage teachers and students to actively participate in various relevant national professional scientific and technological innovation competitions, including “Cyberrobot Cup National IoT Innovative Application Design Competition for College Students”, “Lanqiao Cup National Software and Information Technology Professionals Competition”, “TI Cup College Students IoT Competition”, “Ican Cup IoT Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition”, “Oracle National Java Program-designing Competition”, “Bochuang Cup National Embedded System Design Competition”, “Internet+ National College Students Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition Gansu Division”, “HEP Cup CUMCM” and “Challenge Cup National Undergraduate Curricular Academic Science and Technology Works Competition” and has achieved excellent performance. Meanwhile, the college has undertaken large-scale competitions such as “13th Bochuang Cup National Embedded System Design Competition Northwest Division Finals”, “China Collegiate Computing Contest—Network Technology Challenge” and “Information Security Triathlon Northwest Division Data Competition”.

Pre-employment Training of Students

Since 2006, to further improve the cultivation quality of students, the college has actively carried out the contact and cooperation with domestic and foreign pre-employment training institutions and recommended students to participate in the training. In 2008, the college began to implement the “3+1 talent-training pattern pilot reform” in specialties such as Computer Science and Technology, Information and Computing Science, Software Engineering, etc. At present, more than 100 graduates achieve high quality and high level of employment through training every year, and the annual employment rate of the college graduates remains above 90%.
